Melissa Collins - Principal Broker
Working under the motto of “blessed with another day to serve others”, Melissa enjoys working with clients in their most important family possession. First-time homebuyers, relocation, step-up housing, or selling clients all need an experienced agent who understands the business as well as the emotional aspect. Melissa is past President of the Harrison District Board of REALTORS and currently serves as a Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce board member. She is Principal Broker of the Weichert, Realtors – Market Edge. Her ARA Awards for Excellence include Diamond Lever in 2016, Silver level in 2015, Gold level in 2014, Gold Level in 2013, Platinum Level in 2012.
Melissa has lived in this great town for most of her life. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1983. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education from Harding University in 1986 she taught for the Little Rock School District while her husband, Ken, attended UAMS medical school. In July of 1993, Melissa and Ken moved back home for Ken to begin his family medicine practice. She has been a Realtor since 2009 and Broker/Owner since 2014.
Melissa has been involved in many organizations in the Harrison community primarily focusing on the children of this area. She served 2 years as chairman for the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center Foundation. She is a graduate of the ARA Leadership Class of 2011. She and Ken serve on the President’s Advisory Council of Harding University. Melissa has also served as president of the Junior Auxiliary of Harrison, the Harrison Public Schools Foundation, and the Harrison PTA Council. She is an active member of the Northside Church of Christ. She and Ken have enjoyed raising their children, Layne and Lucas, here in Harrison. Layne and her husband, Logan live in Ft. Smith where Layne is a PA-C in orthopedic medicine and Logan is a computer programmer. They recently provided the newest addition to the family, Campbell. Lucas and his wife Nikki live in Harrison, AR where both are Physical Therapist with Jones Physical Therapy.
